FAQ

*Flip-Over ladder system pictured with temporary attachment for prototyping purposes. Weld or bolt on final attachment required.

What type of truck is the FLIP-OVER LADDER COMPATIBLE WITH?

The Flip-Over Ladder is compatible with sloped boxes, material shedding top rails, auto tarp units, etc.

How is this installed on the dump box?

The mounting plate can be welded directly to the box or mounted with a blind fastener system

WHAT IF MY TRUCK HAS SIDEBOARDS?

No problem! The Flip-Over ladder and handle can be mounted as normal (bolted or welded) to the top rail of the dump body. Strap hinge and latch can be installed on the sideboard to easily open and swing sideboard out of the way to allow safe access to dump body. Or, preferably a section of the sideboards above ladder placement may be able to be removed to allow for “safe access zone”

WILL THE FLIP-OVER LADDER SYSTEM WORK WITH AUTO TARPING SYSTEMS?

Regardless the type of tarping system you have, minor adjustments can be made (if necessary) to ensure compatibility. For low pivot mount arm style systems, flip-over ladder needs to be located towards the back of the box next to existing steps/ladder.

Low profile Flip-Over ladder and handle system reduces interference with auto tarping systems

IS THE FLIP-OVER LADDER CUSTOMIZABLE?

Depending on the top rail dimensions, different hinge lengths will be available to accommodate virtually all box/wall configurations.

Need a longer/shorter ladder? Reach out to info@flipoverladder.com to discuss options available.

WHAT IS THE STANDOFF DISTANCE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX WHEN STOWED?

2”. This minimal stowed depth allows for compatibility with auto tarping systems.

What is the weight limit?

The weight rating for ladder is 400 lbs.

CAN I PAIR THE FLIP-OVER LADDER SYSTEM WITH AN EXISTING LADDER ON MY DUMP TRUCK?

Yes, the Flip-Over ladder should be paired with existing external ladder/steps on the box. To further enhance ease of access, pair with an under-box slide out step system to eliminate the need to step onto truck tire.
